The Blackburn Set - Clocktower, El Greco and Spiral
The Hometown collection celebrates Blackburn's extraordinary 1960s town centre redevelopment. Opened in 1967, it was one of the earliest and most radical schemes of its kind anywhere in the country. Praised by architectural critic Ian Nairn, it was ambitious, unlike anywhere else. This is the Blackburn I grew up with.
The El Greco, the Clock Tower and the Spiral. Three landmarks, in the bold flat colour and mid-century palette that runs through everything I make. Together they look brilliant on a wall.
