Lord Square unframed print
Celebrate a Northern icon with this print of the former Lord Square in Blackburn.
The entrance to the famous Blackburn nightclub Peppermint Place was at the top of the stairs. Originally opened in 1962 as The Cavendish Club, it quickly became a landmark of nightlife in the North West. It was affectionately known to generations simply as The Cav no matter how many times the name changed.
Lord Square was demolished in 2008 and was replaced with a new shopping centre and market.
This Lord Square print captures not just the architecture, but the memories of going up those steps for a big night out.

I remember running down the Spiral as a kid, and meeting up with my grandad who sat on the bench at the bottom. Iconic... was sad when it went.
